1
Then he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and the throne of the Lamb.
2
In the middle of the city street, on either side of the river, was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3
There will be no more curse. The throne of God and the throne of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will serve him,
4
and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5
And there will be no more night there, and they will have no need of lamp light or sunlight, for the Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever.
6
Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true, and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”
7
“Behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book!”
8
And I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down at the feet of the angel who had shown me these things, to worship him.
9
But he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant, just like you and your brothers, the prophets, and all who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”
10
Then he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
11
Let the evildoer continue in evil; let the filthy continue in filth; and let the righteous continue in righteousness; let the holy continue to sanctify himself!”
12
“Behold, I am coming soon, and I bring my reward to repay each one according to his deeds.
13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
14
Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city.
15
But the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood will be outside.
16
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.”
17
The Spirit and the bride say: “Come!” And let the one who hears say: “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come, and let the one who desires take the water of life freely!
18
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: “If anyone adds anything to these words, God will add to him the plagues written in this book.
19
And if anyone takes away anything from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share from the tree of life and from the holy city, as it is written in this book.”
20
He who bears witness to these things says: “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
21
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all! Amen.
