Likewise, when I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with fine words or with wisdom to proclaim God’s testimony to you.

For I had determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

I also came to you in weakness and with great fear and trembling.

My speech and my preaching were not delivered with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,

Yet we speak wisdom among those who are mature, a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are being brought to nothing.
