In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom, I solemnly charge you:

Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound teaching, but according to their own desires they will gather for themselves teachers to suit their itching ears.

They will turn away their ears from the truth and turn aside to fables.

But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

for Demas has loved this present world and has departed from me, having gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.

In the final chapter of his letter, Paul gives Timothy his last charge: preach the word faithfully, be ready at all times, and endure in ministry.
