“Now when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you,

and you return to the LORD your God and listen to His voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,

the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you. He will gather you again from all the nations where the LORD your God has scattered you.
4
Though those who were driven out of you are at the farthest part of the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you back.
5
The LORD your God will bring you into the land that your fathers possessed, and you will possess it too. He will do good to you and make you more numerous than your fathers.
6
And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.
7
The LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who have pursued you.
8
You will again listen to the voice of the LORD and do all His commandments that I am commanding you today.

The LORD your God will abound in goodness toward you in all the work of your hands, in the fruit of your womb, in the offspring of your livestock, and in the produce of your land, for the LORD your God will again rejoice over you for good, as He rejoiced over your fathers before —

if you listen to the voice of the LORD your God, keeping His commandments and His statutes written in this book of the law, and if you return to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”

“For this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it too far away.

It is not in heaven, so that you should say, Who will go up to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?
13
Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you should say, Who will cross over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?
14
But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may do it.
15
See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and disaster,”
16
because today I am commanding you to love the LORD your God, by walking in his ways and keeping his commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and be blessed by the LORD your God in the land you are entering to possess.
17
But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, and you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and serve them,
18
then I declare to you today that you shall surely perish; you will not live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
19
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today: I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life, so that you may live, you and your descendants,
20
by loving the LORD your God, listening to his voice, and holding fast to him; for this means your life and the length of your days, so that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
💞🔁📣 Summary of Deuteronomy 30 – Repentance, Restoration, and the Choice of Life or Death
Deuteronomy 30 continues the warnings and blessings of the previous chapter, but with a hopeful tone. Moses says that even though the people fall into sin and receive a curse, the Lord still opens the way for repentance and restoration. The chapter ends with God’s invitation to choose life.
📌 1. Restoration After Repentance (verses 1–10)
- If the people experience a curse because of disobedience, and then repent and return to the Lord:
The Lord will restore their fortunes and gather them from among the nations.
The Lord will restore the land, bless their descendants, and heal their hearts.
Their hearts will be circumcised, meaning cleansed and made responsive to love the Lord.

- The command of the Lord is not too marvelous or far up in heaven, or beyond the sea.
