Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Indonesia is the land that God has entrusted to us. A country so beautiful, rich in culture, and abundant in resources, yet not without struggles. Recently, we have witnessed various demonstrations, public dissatisfaction, and divisions that seem to tear apart the sense of brotherhood.
However, God’s word says in Psalm 33:12: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.” This means that if we truly make God the ruler over this nation, then Indonesia will not be shaken.
Let us remember that the voice of the people is precious, but more than that, it is God’s voice that should guide the nation. We cannot rely solely on human strength, politics, or power. We need God’s intervention that brings justice, peace, and unity.
With humility, let us unite our hearts in prayer for Indonesia:
O Almighty God,
Today we bring the nation of Indonesia before You. We realize that without You, this country will be unstable. We see many demonstrations, unrest, and anxiety among the people. But we believe You are the God who can calm the storm.
Lord, we pray for every leader of this nation. From the President, ministers, representatives, to officials in the regions. Grant them divine wisdom, courage to act justly, and a heart that fears You. Do not let them make decisions solely for personal interests, but for the welfare of the people and the glory of Your name.
We also pray for the people of Indonesia. Guide us to voice our aspirations peacefully, maintain unity, and reject violence and hatred. Protect the officers on duty to be wise, patient, and not easily provoked.
O Lord, restore our nation from division, from slander, from interests that harm the common people. Restore the economy, education, and social justice within this nation. Let every child of this nation experience Your love and goodness.
We believe, Lord, that Indonesia is in the palm of Your hand. We entrust the future of this nation only to You.
