From Paul, an apostle—not from men, nor through a man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead,

and from all the brothers who are with me, to the churches in Galatia:

grace to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ,

who gave Himself for our sins, to deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.

To Him be glory forever and ever! Amen.

I am astonished that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you by the grace of Christ and are following another gospel,

which is really not a gospel at all. Only there are some who trouble you and intend to distort the gospel of Christ.
8
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should proclaim to you a gospel different from the one we proclaimed to you, let him be accursed.
9
As we have said before, so I say again now: if anyone proclaims to you a gospel different from what you received, let him be accursed.

So now, am I seeking the favor of people, or the favor of God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

For I make known to you, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not a human gospel.

For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it by man, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

For you have heard of my former life in Judaism: beyond measure I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.
14
And in Judaism I was advancing beyond many of my own age among my people, being extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

But when He who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace
16
was pleased to reveal His Son in me, so that I might proclaim Him among the Gentiles, I did not consult with anyone at once;
17
nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away to Arabia and then returned again to Damascus.
18
Then, after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and I stayed with him fifteen days.
19
But I did not see any of the other apostles, except James, the Lord Jesus’ brother.
20
Before God I declare: what I am writing to you is true; I am not lying.

Then I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

But I was still not personally known to the churches of Christ in Judea.

They only heard that the one who once persecuted them was now proclaiming the faith he had once tried to destroy.

And they glorified God because of me.
