Therefore let us be careful, lest any one of you should seem to have fallen short, while the promise of entering into His rest still stands.

For good news was preached to us, even as to them; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith with those who heard it.

For we who have believed enter into that rest, as He has said:

“As I swore in My wrath,
They shall not enter into My rest,”

although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For He has spoken somewhere concerning the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works.”

Since therefore it remains that some must enter into it, and those to whom the good news was first preached did not enter in because of disobedience,

Since then we have a great High Priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
