The Book of Nahum is a prophecy about the fall of the city of Nineveh, the capital of Assyria, a nation that once repented through the preaching of Jonah but has now returned to cruelty and arrogance. Nahum foretells their total destruction as God's judgment. This book shows that God is patient but also just and does not allow evil to go unpunished.
