1
A Song of Ascents.
They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.
2
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from this time forth and for ever.
3
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4
Do good, O LORD, unto those that are good, and to them that are upright in heart.
5
But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!
🕊️🙏📖 Summary of Psalm 125 – “Believers Are Like Mount Zion”
Psalm 125 is the sixth Song of Ascents (Shir HaMa‘alot), full of steadfast confidence in the Lord’s protection.
The psalmist describes the believer as Mount Zion — firm, unshaken, and surrounded by the Lord’s protection.
This psalm also speaks of confidence in divine justice: the wicked will not endure forever, and blessing will come upon the righteous.
📌 1. Believers Are Like Mount Zion (verses 1–2)
➡️ “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.”

📌 2. The Power of the Wicked Will Not Endure (verse 3)
➡️ “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous…”
➡️ Lest the righteous be driven to do evil.
🎯 The Lord limits the power of evil, to keep His people in righteousness.

➡️ “Do good, O LORD, unto those that are good, and to them that are upright in heart.”
➡️ “But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth…”
