Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;

my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and the one in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me!

O LORD, what is man, that You regard him, or the son of man, that You take account of him?

Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.

Bow Your heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, that they may smoke!

Flash forth lightning and scatter them; send out Your arrows and throw them into confusion!

Stretch out Your hand from on high; rescue me and deliver me from the great waters, from the hand of foreigners,

whose mouths speak falsehood, and whose right hand is a right hand of deceit.

O God, I will sing a new song to You; with a ten-stringed harp I will sing praises to You,

You who give victory to kings, who deliver David Your servant!

Rescue me and deliver me from the cruel sword, and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak falsehood, and whose right hand is a right hand of deceit.

May our sons be like plants grown up in their youth; may our daughters be like corner pillars, carved for the structure of a palace!

May our granaries be full, supplying all kinds of produce; may our flocks bring forth thousands, ten thousands in our fields!
14
May our cattle be heavy with young; may there be no breach and no going out, and no outcry in our streets!
