🕊️🙏📖 Summary of Psalm 148 – “All Creation Praises the LORD”
Psalm 148 is a universal and cosmic call to praise God.
Everything that exists in heaven and on earth — whether heavenly beings, the elements of nature, living creatures, or human beings — is summoned to worship the Creator.
This is one of the most inclusive psalms of praise in the Bible: nothing is left out of the call to glorify the LORD.
📌 1. Praise from Heaven (verses 1–6)
➡️ “Praise the LORD from the heavens, praise Him in the heights!”
➡️ Angels, His hosts, the sun, the moon, the stars, the highest heavens, the waters above the heavens… all are called to praise.
➡️ All were created by His word and stand firm by His command.
🎯 All heavenly beings and celestial bodies are subject to God — and called to glorify Him.
📌 2. Praise from the Earth (verses 7–12)
➡️ Sea monsters, fire and hail, snow, mist, stormy wind…
➡️ Mountains, hills, trees, wild beasts, cattle, birds…
➡️ Kings of the earth, all peoples, rulers, young men, old and young…
🎯 Not only spiritual beings, but nature, animals, and people of every station are invited to worship as well.
📌 3. The LORD Exalted Above All (verses 13–14)
➡️ “Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted.”
➡️ “He has raised up a horn for His people…”
🎯 God’s name is higher than all creation; and His people (Israel, and spiritually also the church) are honored by Him.

“All things were created through Him and for Him.”

“Every creature… in heaven and on earth and under the earth… said: ‘To Him who sits on the throne… be blessing and honor and glory.’”
