Then after these things I heard something like a loud voice from a great multitude in heaven, saying:

“Hallelujah!
Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,

for true and righteous are His judgments,
because He has judged the great prostitute,
who corrupted the earth with her immorality;
and He has avenged the blood of His servants on her.”

And a second time they said:

“Hallelujah!
Yes, her smoke rises forever and ever.”

And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying:

“Amen, Hallelujah.”

Then a voice came from the throne, saying:

“Praise our God,
all you His servants,
you who fear Him,
both small and great!”

Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunder, saying:

“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God, the Almighty, has become King.

Let us rejoice and be glad,
and give Him glory!
For the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and His bride has made herself ready.

And it was granted to her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure!”
[The fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.]

Then he said to me, “Write: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”

Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Then I saw heaven opened: and behold, a white horse; and He who sat on it was called “Faithful and True,” and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, and He had a name written that no one knows except Himself.

He was clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called “The Word of God.”

And the armies in heaven followed Him; they were riding on white horses and clothed in fine linen, white and pure.

And from His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with an iron rod, and He will tread the winepress of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: “King of kings and Lord of lords.”

Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice to all the birds flying in midheaven, saying, “Come here and gather together for the great supper of God,

so that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of commanders, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, both free and slave, both small and great.”

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to make war against the Rider on the horse and against His army.

Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs before him, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and who had worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.

And the rest were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the Rider on the horse; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

📖 Revelation 19 – Christ’s Victory and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb

🙌 Verses 1–5 – Praise in Heaven for God’s Judgment

“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.”

After the fall of Babylon (Revelation 18), a loud voice from a great multitude in heaven cried out, glorifying God.
They praised:
- The righteousness and justice of God’s judgment on Babylon.
- Because God has avenged the blood of His servants.
The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped God and said:
“Amen! Hallelujah!”
A voice from the throne of God said:
“Praise our God, all you His servants.”

🕊️ Verses 6–10 – The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory!”

The sound of praise in heaven, like the roar of many waters and mighty thunder, welcomes the marriage of the Lamb (Jesus Christ).
His bride (the church/faithful people) has made herself ready, clothed with fine linen, bright and clean, that is:
- “The righteous deeds of the saints.”
The angel said:
- “Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
John was overwhelmed and was about to bow down before the angel, but the angel said:
- “Do not do that! I am a servant like you… Worship God!”

🐎 Verses 11–16 – Christ the Conquering King

“Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse…”

Jesus Christ appears as the Rider on the White Horse, called:
- The Faithful and the True
- The Word of God
- King of kings and Lord of lords
He:
- Judges and makes war justly.
- His eyes are like a flame of fire.
- Wears many crowns.
- His garment is dipped in blood.
He leads the heavenly armies, also riding white horses and clothed in white linen.
From His mouth comes a sharp sword to strike the nations.
He will rule them with an iron rod, and shatter the enemies with the wrath of God.

⚔️ Rev. 17–21 – The Final Judgment on the Beast and the False Prophet

“Come, gather yourselves for the great banquet of God.”

An angel invites all the birds that feed on carrion to witness the judgment on Christ’s enemies.
The Beast (antichrist), the kings of the world, and their armies gather to oppose Christ.
But:
- The Beast and the false prophet are seized and thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.
- Their whole army is destroyed by the sword from Jesus’ mouth.
- The birds eat their bodies.

🔑 Theological Meaning of Revelation 19

Jesus as the true King and Judge: no longer as the slain Lamb, but as the Victor and Judge of all nations.
The victory of truth over evil: the world system, the antichrist, and the false prophet are all destroyed.
The climax of the church’s hope: namely eternal fellowship with Christ.
The contrast of two banquets:

- The Marriage Supper of the Lamb (for the faithful)
- The banquet of slaughter (for God’s enemies)
