Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through Him we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

And not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces endurance,

and endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.

And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

For while we were still weak, Christ died for us, the ungodly, at the appointed time.

For scarcely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might even dare to die—

but God shows His love for us in that Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

Much more then, since we have now been justified by His blood, we shall surely be saved from the wrath of God.

And not only that! We also rejoice in God through Jesus Christ, our Lord, because through Him we have received this reconciliation.

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so death spread to all people, because all have sinned.

For before the law was given, sin was already in the world. But sin is not counted where there is no law.

Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin in the same way Adam did, who is a pattern of the One who was to come.
