Science Behind Imagination
According to neuroscience, imagination arises from the work of the default mode network (DMN) in the brain, which is a neural network active when we are daydreaming or reflecting. Imagination helps humans predict the future, empathize, and innovate. Without imagination, we could not envision possibilities, design tools, or create art.
However, the “wild” side of imagination appears because the brain cannot always distinguish between fantasy and reality. That is why we can feel fear just by imagining something bad. - Control it with wisdom. When wild imagination leads to anxiety or sin, bring it in prayer so the Holy Spirit can guide.
