This is the blessing that Moses, the man of God, pronounced upon the Israelites before his death.

He said:
“The LORD came from Sinai and rose upon them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran, and came from the midst of ten thousands of holy ones; at his right hand was a fiery law for them.

Truly he loves his people; all his holy ones are in your hand, and they sat down at your feet, receiving from your words.
4
Moses commanded us a law, an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.
5
He became king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people gathered, all the tribes of Israel together.
6
Let Reuben live and not die, but let his men be few.”
7
And this is concerning Judah. He said: “Hear, O LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him to his people. Fight for him with your hand, and be a help to him against his enemies.”

Concerning Levi he said:
“Let your Thummim and your Urim belong to the man whom you love, whom you tested at Massah, with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah;
9
who said of his father and of his mother, ‘I do not regard them’; he who did not acknowledge his brothers and was unconcerned for his children. For they kept your word and guarded your covenant;
10
they teach your ordinances to Jacob, and your law to Israel; they place incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
11
Bless, O LORD, his strength, and accept the work of his hands. Crush the loins of those who rise against him and of those who hate him, so that they may not rise again.”

Concerning Benjamin he said:
“The beloved of the LORD dwells in safety by him; he shields him all the day long, and dwells between his shoulders.”

Concerning Joseph he said:
“May his land be blessed by the LORD with the choicest gifts of heaven, with dew, and with the deep waters below;
14
with the choicest fruits of the sun, and with the choicest yield of the months;
15
with the finest of the ancient mountains, and with the choicest of the everlasting hills,
16
and with the choicest gifts of the earth and its fullness; and the favor of him who dwelt in the bush. Let all these come upon the head of Joseph, upon the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brothers.
17
His firstborn bull is his majesty, and his horns are like the horns of a wild ox; with them he shall gore the peoples, all of them, to the ends of the earth. These are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these are the thousands of Manasseh.”

About Zebulun he said:
“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your journeys, and you, Issachar, in your tents.

They shall call peoples to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they shall draw from the abundance of the sea and the hidden treasures of the sand.”

About Gad he said:
“Blessed be He who enlarges Gad. He dwells as a lioness and tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head.

He chose the best for himself, for there a ruler’s portion was reserved; he came with the heads of the people. He carried out the righteousness of the LORD and His judgments with Israel.”

About Dan he said:
“Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps forth from Bashan.”

About Naphtali he said:
“Naphtali is satisfied with favor and full of the blessing of the LORD; possess the sea and the southland.”

About Asher he said:
“Blessed be Asher among sons; let him be favored by his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil.

May your bars be of iron and bronze, and as long as you live, may your strength endure.
26
There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to help you, and in His majesty through the clouds.
27
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He drives out the enemy before you and says, ‘Destroy!’
28
So Israel dwells in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone, in a land of grain and new wine; indeed, its heavens drop dew.
29
Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty? Your enemies shall come cringing before you, and you shall tread on their high places.”

- Moses closes with praise:
“There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heavens to help you…”
