(14-2) Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God,
for you have stumbled because of your iniquity.

(14-3) Take with you words of repentance,
and return to the LORD!
Say to Him:
“Forgive all iniquity,
so that we may receive what is good,
and we will offer the fruit of our lips.

(14-4) Assyria cannot save us;
we will not ride on horses,
and we will no longer say: Our God!
to the work of our hands.
For You show mercy to the fatherless.”

(14-5) I will heal their waywardness;
I will love them freely,
for My anger has turned away from them.

then he will blossom like the lily
and send out his roots like the cedar.

his splendor will be like the olive tree
and his fragrance like Lebanon.

they will flourish like the vine,
whose fame is like the wine of Lebanon.

I am the One who answers and watches over you!
I am like a green cypress tree;
from Me comes your fruit.

(14-10) Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
whoever has insight, let him know them;
for the ways of the LORD are upright,
and the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them.
