He who walks in righteousness

who rejects gain from oppression,
who shakes his hands free from taking a bribe,
who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed,
and shuts his eyes from looking on evil,

he will dwell on the heights in safety;
his fortress will be the strongholds of the rocks;
his bread will be given him,
his water will be sure.

Your eyes will see the king in his beauty;
they will behold a land stretching far away.

Your heart will muse on the former terror:
“Where is the one who counted? Where is the one who weighed?
and where is the one who counted the towers?”

You will no longer see that fierce people,
a people of obscure speech, so that it cannot be understood,
a stammering tongue, so that no one can comprehend.

Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feast!
Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet dwelling place,
a tent that will not be moved,
whose stakes will never be pulled up,
and all its cords will not be broken.

There the majesty of our LORD will be seen by us:
as a place of broad rivers and streams;
no rowing boat shall go there,
and no mighty ship shall pass through it.

For the LORD is our Judge,
the LORD is our Lawgiver;

he will save us.

Your ropes are slack;
they cannot hold the mast firm in its place,

Then the spoil of much plunder will be divided,
