(39-4) Do you know the time when the mountain goats give birth, or watch over the deer when they are in labor?

(39-29) Is it by your understanding that the hawk flies, spreading its wings toward the south?

(39-30) Is it at your command that the eagle soars aloft, and makes its nest on high?

(39-31) He dwells and nests on the rocky crag, on the peak of the rocky crag and on the mountain hard to reach.

🦅🦌🦁 Summary of Job 39 – “Who Orders the Wild Animals?”
In Job 39, the Lord continues His answer to Job — this time with a focus on the world of wild animals.
Through sharp and wondrous questions, the Lord shows that He is the One who governs the life even of creatures not tamed by man.
The message: If Job cannot govern the animals, how can he demand an explanation for God’s plan?
📌 1. The Birth of Animals in the Wild (verses 1–4)
➡️ God asks:
“Do you know the time when the mountain goats give birth?”
➡️ Job does not know the natural process that God Himself watches over.
➡️ God is the One who guards, provides a place, and sets the time for the birth of wild creatures.
🎯 Even the hidden processes in the wilderness are not beyond God’s ordering.
📌 2. The Wild Donkey and the Ox (verses 5–12)
➡️ God created the wild donkey, free from human burden — it lives without human rule.
➡️ So also the wild ox — strong, untamed, unable to be domesticated and unwilling to plow the field.
🎯 The freedom and strength of creation are a picture of divine liberty that cannot be controlled by man.
📌 3. The Strange and Swift Ostrich (verses 13–18)
➡️ The ostrich:
- Leaves its eggs on the ground without concern for danger
- Yet when it runs, its speed surpasses the horse
➡️ God gives uniqueness — foolishness in one aspect, greatness in another
🎯 God works in paradox and mystery — even in a bird.
📌 4. The Mighty War Horse (verses 19–25)
➡️ God describes the war horse:
- Bold
- Not afraid when it hears the trumpet sound
- It charges proudly into battle
➡️ God gives a spirit of courage and strength to this creature.
🎯 True courage comes from God, even in animals.
📌 5. The Eagle and the Hawk (verses 26–30)
➡️ God asks:
“Is it by your command that the eagle soars high?”
➡️ The hawk nests on the heights, watching and hunting — all according to God’s design
🎯 God orders the instincts and behavior of every creature according to its purpose.

- Human beings cannot tame God’s creation, much less demand anything of Him
- Even wild and strange animals are within the divine plan and ordering
