Finally, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord.
(3-1b) To write these things to you again is no burden to me and is a safeguard for you.

Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision,

for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in outward things.

Though I myself also have reason to put confidence in outward things.
If anyone else thinks he may put confidence in outward things, I have more:

circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee;

as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness in the law, found blameless.

But whatever was gain to me, I now consider loss because of Christ.

Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord. For his sake I have given up all things and count them as refuse, so that I may gain Christ,

and be found in him, not having my own righteousness that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness that God gives on the basis of faith.

What I desire is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

so that at last I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained this or have already been made perfect, but I press on, if indeed I may also take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have taken hold of it yet; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind me and reaching forward to what lies ahead,

I press on toward the goal to win the prize, the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Therefore let us, who are mature, think this way. And if you think differently about anything, God will reveal that to you also.

Only let us continue in the level of understanding we have already attained, according to the path we have walked.

Brothers and sisters, follow my example and observe those who live in the same way as we do, who are your example.

For, as I have often told you, and now tell you again with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.

Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and their glory is in their shame; their minds are set only on earthly things.

For our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we also await the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior,

who will transform our lowly body, so that it will be like his glorious body, according to the power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.
