(108-2) My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will make melody. Awake, my soul!

(108-3) Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn.

(108-4) I will give thanks to You among the peoples, O LORD, and I will sing praises to You among the nations;

(108-5) for Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

(108-6) Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and let Your glory be over all the earth.

(108-7) That Your beloved ones may be delivered, save with Your right hand, and answer me!

(108-8) God has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

(108-9) Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim is the helmet of My head; Judah is My scepter.

(108-10) Moab is My washbasin; upon Edom I cast My shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

(108-11) Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me into Edom?

(108-12) Is it not You, O God, who had cast us off, and who did not go out, O God, with our armies?

(108-13) Give us help against the adversary, for vain is the help of man.

Psalm 108 is a combined psalm drawn from two earlier psalms:
- Psalm 57:7–11 (praise in suffering)
- Psalm 60:5–12 (a cry of victory in war)
The psalmist, David, begins with strong and fervent praise, then moves into a plea for help and a declaration of victory by the power of God.
This psalm joins personal worship and a collective confession of faith.
📌 1. A Steadfast Heart and Praise to God (verses 1–5)
➡️ “My heart is steadfast, O God…”
➡️ David declares his resolve to sing and praise the Lord with all his heart.
➡️ He awakens the dawn with praise, acknowledging the Lord’s mercy and faithfulness that are exalted high.

📌 2. A Plea for Help in Battle (verses 6–9)
➡️ David asks that God save and answer his prayer.
➡️ He recalls God’s word: that the Lord Himself has promised victory over places such as Shechem, Succoth, Gilead, Ephraim, Judah, Moab, Edom, and Philistia.
🎯 True victory rests not on human strength, but on the promise of God.
📌 3. Confession of Dependence and Declaration of Victory (verses 10–13)
