1
For the choirmaster. According to the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

(84-2) How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts!

2
(84-3) My soul is broken with longing for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.

3
(84-4) Even the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest, where she may lay her young, at Your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God!

4
(84-5) Blessed are those who dwell in Your house, who are ever praising You. Selah

5
(84-6) Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage!

6
(84-7) As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with blessings.

7
(84-8) They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.

8
(84-9) O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

9
(84-10) Behold our shield, O God; look upon the face of Your anointed!

10
(84-11) For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11
(84-12) For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

12
(84-13) O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!
