Not every battle is visible to human eyes. There is a spiritual warfare taking place in our hearts, minds, and souls, a struggle against sin, temptation, and the lies of the enemy. The world may not see it, but God sees every step of our struggle. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
This battle is often silent. There is no applause or cheering crowd. Sometimes we struggle only in prayer, in our hearts when we refuse temptation, or when we choose to forgive even though we are hurt. Victory in spiritual warfare often begins with a small decision to obey.
God gives us spiritual armor to win, called the “armor of God” (Ephesians 6:13-18). Truth becomes our belt, righteousness becomes our breastplate, the gospel of peace becomes our footwear, the shield of faith protects us from the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation guards our minds, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, becomes our weapon of attack. Without all of this, we will easily be defeated, even before the battle begins.
True victory before God is not always measured by human recognition. The world may never know that we overcame temptation or remained faithful in loneliness. Yet God values every act of obedience we do in secret. Matthew 6:6 says, “Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
If you feel weary in spiritual warfare right now, remember that you are not alone. The Holy Spirit is by your side, giving you strength to stand firm.
Lord, thank You because You call me to be victorious in every spiritual battle, even when the world cannot see it. Help me to put on the armor of God every day, to resist temptation, and to remain faithful until the end. I want to fight not for human recognition, but for Your glory.
