Everyone can appear โgoodโ when being watched. But who are you when no one is watching? When the door is closed, the camera is off, and there is no praise from outside?
Jesus said in Matthew 6:6, โBut when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.โ God pays attention to the hidden things, not what is displayed.
Our true identity is revealed in our hidden life. Not from posts, image crafting, or achievements seen by many. But from our integrity and faithfulness when there is no spotlight.
David is a real example. Before becoming king, he was just a young shepherd in the fields, but God saw his heart. God knew that faithfulness in quiet places is far more important than popularity before many people.
We live in a world obsessed with validation. But God invites us to return to the essence: a pure heart, sincere motives, and genuine faith even when unseen.
Who are you when no one is watching? Perhaps that is your most honest self. And it is precisely there that God works. Not on a big stage, but in the small room where you choose to obey even in silence.
Luke 16:10 affirms, โWhoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.โ
Do not fear if no one sees. God always sees. And what is hidden in obedience will be revealed in its time.
