“If you see your brother’s ox or sheep straying, do not pretend not to know; you must surely bring it back to your brother.

And if your brother does not live near you and you do not know him, then you shall bring the animal into your house, and it shall stay with you until your brother comes looking for it; then you shall return it to him.

So you shall do with his donkey, so you shall do with his garment, so you shall do with every lost thing of your brother’s that you find; you must not pretend not to know.
4
If you see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen on the road, do not pretend not to know; you must surely help him lift it up again together with your brother.”

“A woman shall not wear a man’s clothing, and a man shall not put on a woman’s clothing, for everyone who does this is an abomination to the LORD your God.

If you come upon a bird’s nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young birds or eggs in it, and the mother is sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young.

You shall surely let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, so that it may go well with you and you may live long.
8
When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, so that you do not bring bloodguilt on your house if anyone falls from it.
9
You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole yield of the seed you have sown and the produce of your vineyard become holy property.

You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.
11
You shall not wear cloth of two kinds of material, wool and linen together.
12
You shall make tassels on the four corners of the garment with which you cover yourself.”

“If a man takes a wife and, after going in to her, comes to hate her,
14
and accuses her of shameful conduct and brings a bad name upon her, saying, ‘I took this woman as my wife, but when I came near her, I did not find in her the signs of virginity’—
15
then the father and mother of the young woman shall bring the signs of the young woman’s virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.
16
And the father of the young woman shall say to the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man as his wife, and he has come to hate her,’
17
and know that he is making a false accusation, saying, ‘I did not find proof of your daughter’s virginity.’ But these are the proofs of my daughter’s virginity. Then they shall spread out the cloth before the elders of the city.

Then the elders of that city shall take the man and punish him,
19
and fine him one hundred shekels of silver and give the silver to the father of the girl, because he has brought a bad name upon a virgin of Israel. She shall remain his wife; he may not send her away all his days.
20
But if the charge is true and no proof of the girl’s virginity is found,
21
then they shall bring the girl out to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death, because she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by playing the harlot in her father’s house. So you shall put away the evil from among you.
22
If a man is found lying with a married woman, then both of them shall die: the man who lay with the woman, and the woman also. So you shall put away the evil from among the people of Israel.
23
If there is a young woman who is a virgin and is engaged to be married, and a man finds her in the city and lies with her,
24
then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city and stone them to death: the girl, because she did not cry out though she was in the city, and the man, because he has violated his neighbor’s wife. So you shall put away the evil from among you.
25
But if the man finds the engaged girl in the field and forces her to lie with him, then only the man who lay with the girl shall die,
26
but you shall do nothing to the girl. The girl has no sin deserving death, for this matter is like a man attacking his neighbor and killing him.
27
For he found her in the field; though the engaged girl cried out, there was no one to save her.
28
If a man finds a young woman who is a virgin and not engaged, and forces her to lie with him, and they are discovered —
29
then the man who lay with her shall give fifty shekels of silver to the girl’s father, and she shall become his wife, because he has violated her; he may not send her away all his days.
30
A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor uncover his father’s skirt.

Rape of a woman who is not betrothed: the offender must marry her and may not divorce her.
