Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” This verse affirms that our lives are not an accident, but a great work of God designed with a noble purpose.
God never creates anything in vain. Look at the universe: the stars, the mountains, the oceans, all are majestic and full of detail. If creation itself is so extraordinary, how much more human beings, created in the image and likeness of God. That means we are not called merely to live “just to get by,” but to live with purpose, to make an impact, and to glorify Him.
Sadly, some Christians feel content living in a minimal way. They go to church, work, go home, and repeat the routine without any clear direction. Yet, living faith always produces something greater than mere routine. God calls us to be salt and light, to influence the world, not to be swept away by its current.
Imagine Moses. He felt unworthy because he stuttered, yet God called him to lead the Israelites out of slavery. Imagine David. He was only a young shepherd, yet God used him to defeat Goliath and become king. God does not look at our limitations, but at the divine potential He has planted within us.
An extraordinary life does not mean always being spectacular in the eyes of people. Not everyone is called to be a great prophet, an evangelist, or a national leader. But each of us is called to do the things God has entrusted to us faithfully, so that through them His name is glorified. Faithfulness in small things is the path to great things.
Today, do not be satisfied with an ordinary life anymore. Ask God to rekindle the fire of His vision in your heart. Your life was designed for more than merely “surviving”; you are called to “impact.” When we live according to His plan, we will find a joy the world cannot give.
Father, thank You because You created me with a noble purpose. Forgive me if I have often been content with an ordinary life. Help me to step forward boldly, faithfully, and earnestly do Your will. Make my life fruitful and impactful, for the glory of Your name. Amen.
