God’s Timing Is Perfect, Not Rushed

We live in an age where everything is fast-paced: fast food, instant shopping, even entertainment just one click away. But unfortunately, this mindset often carries over into our relationship with God. We expect answers to prayers to be as quick as WiFi. If they arenโ€™t answered within a week, we start wondering, โ€œGod, where are You?โ€

Yet, the Bible is full of stories about people who waited. Abraham had to wait 25 years to see Godโ€™s promise about a child fulfilled (Genesis 21:5). Moses waited 40 years in the wilderness before finally leading the Israelites. Even Jesus Himself waited 30 years before beginning His ministry.

God is never rushed. But He is never late either. In 2 Peter 3:9 it says, โ€œThe Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness.โ€ What we see as delay is often a process of formation.

The problem is, we donโ€™t like the process. We want results. But God is more interested in shaping our character than just granting our desires. He wants us to learn patience, trust, and obedience even when we donโ€™t understand His timing.

So if you are waiting, donโ€™t despair. Maybe the answer hasnโ€™t come yet because God is shaping you into a person ready to receive that answer. In His perfect and right time, He will respond.
