Thus says the LORD:
“This is my word to my anointed one,
to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped,
so that I may subdue nations before him
and strip kings of their armor,
so that I may open doors before him
and that gates may not remain shut:

I myself will go before you
and level the mountains;
I will break in pieces the bronze doors
and cut through the iron bars.
3
I will give you treasures hidden in darkness
and riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the LORD,
the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.
4
For the sake of my servant Jacob
and Israel, my chosen one,
I call you by your name;
I give you a title, though you do not know me.
5
I am the LORD, and there is no other;
besides me there is no God.
I arm you,
though you do not know me,
6
so that people may know from the rising of the sun
and from its setting that there is none besides me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other,
7
who forms light and creates darkness,
who makes well-being and creates calamity;
I am the LORD, who does all these things.
8
O heavens, let righteousness drip down from above,
and let the clouds pour it out!
Let the earth open,
and let salvation spring up,
and let righteousness grow together with it!
I am the LORD, who created all these things.”
9
Woe to the one who contends with his Maker,
a mere potsherd among potsherds of the earth!
Does the clay say to the one who forms it,
“What are you making?”
or does what is made say of its maker,
“He has no hands!”

Woe to the one who says to his father,
“What have you begotten?”
and to his mother,
“What have you brought forth?”

Thus says the LORD,
the Holy One, the God and Maker of Israel:
“Will you question me about my children,
or give me orders concerning the work of my hands?
12
I made the earth
and created humanity upon it;
my hands stretched out the heavens,
and I commanded all their host.
13
I have stirred up Cyrus for a righteous purpose,
and I will make all his ways straight;
he shall build my city
and set my exiles free,
without payment and without bribe,”
declares the LORD of hosts.
14
Thus says the LORD:
“The wealth of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush
and the Sabeans, men of stature,
will come over to you and be yours;
they will follow behind you in chains;
they will bow down to you and plead with you, saying:
Surely God is in your midst, and there is no other;
besides him there is no God!”
15
Surely, You are a God who hides Himself,
God of Israel, Savior.
16
But the makers of idols shall turn back in disgrace,
all of them shall be put to shame and also disgraced.
17
But Israel shall be saved by the LORD
with an everlasting salvation;
you shall not be put to shame or disgraced
forever and ever.”
18
For thus says the LORD,
who created the heavens,
— He is God —
who formed the earth and made it,
and established it,
— He did not create it a waste,
but formed it to be inhabited —:
“I am the LORD, and there is no other.
19
I did not speak in secret,
or in a place of the earth that is dark.
I did not say to the descendants of Jacob,
‘Seek Me in vain!’
I, the LORD, speak what is right,
I declare what is upright.”
20
“Gather yourselves and come;
draw near together,
you survivors among the nations!
They have no knowledge,
those who carry about an image of wood
and pray to a god
that cannot save.
21
Declare and present your case;
yes, let them take counsel together:
Who has announced this from ancient times,
and declared it from long ago?
Was it not I, the LORD?
There is no other, no God besides Me!
A righteous God and a Savior,
there is none besides Me!
22
Turn to Me and be saved,
all the ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.
23
By Myself I have sworn;
from My mouth has gone out righteousness,
a word that shall not be revoked:
that to Me every knee shall bow,
and every tongue shall swear allegiance,
24
saying: Only in the LORD
are righteousness and strength.
All who were enraged against Him
shall come to Him and be put to shame,
25
but all the offspring of Israel
shall be shown to be right and shall glory in the LORD.”
