Hear, O LORD, the cause of righteousness;
attend to my cry;
give ear to my prayer,
from lips that do not deceive.

May my judgment come forth from You;
may Your eyes behold what is right.

When You test my heart,
examine it in the night,
and search me,
You will find no evil in me;
my mouth has not transgressed.

As for the deeds of men,
according to the word that You have spoken,
I have kept myself from the paths of the violent;

my steps have held fast to Your ways,
my feet have not slipped.

I call upon You, for You answer me, O God;
incline Your ear to me, hear my words.

Show Your marvelous lovingkindness,
You who save by Your right hand
those who take refuge from those who rise up against them.

Keep me as the apple of the eye;
hide me in the shadow of Your wings

from the wicked who oppress me,
from my deadly enemies who surround me.

They show no pity,
they boast;
11
they track my steps; they now surround me,
their eyes are set to cast me down to the earth.
12
They are like a lion eager to tear,
like a young lion lurking in secret places.
13
Arise, O LORD, confront them, bring them low;
deliver me by Your sword from the wicked.
14
Deliver me, O LORD, by Your hand,
from men of this world, whose portion is in this life;
may their belly be filled with what You have stored up,
so that their children are satisfied,
and they leave what remains to their little ones.
15
But as for me, in righteousness I shall behold Your face,
and when I awake I shall be satisfied with Your likeness.
