Many rise up against me;

“There is no help for him in God.” Selah

(3-4) But You, O LORD, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the lifter up of my head.

(3-5) With my voice I cry to the LORD,
and He answers me from His holy hill. Selah

(3-6) I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.

(3-7) I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
who have set themselves against me all around.

(3-8) Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God!
For You strike all my enemies on the jaw,
and break the teeth of the wicked.

🕊️🙏📖 Summary of Psalm 3 – “Trust in the Midst of Threat”
Psalm 3 is David’s prayer when he fled from his own son, Absalom. In a situation of painful betrayal and deadly pursuit, David still chose to trust in the Lord.
Though many said that there was no longer any deliverance for David, he refused to yield to fear. He confessed the Lord as his shield, his glory, and the lifter up of his head. In a night full of danger, he slept in peace — because he trusted the Lord to protect and save him.

➡️ His enemies grew numerous, surrounding him and pursuing his life.
➡️ They said: “There is no help for him from God.”
