(58-2) Do you indeed speak righteousness, O rulers?
Do you judge the children of men uprightly?

(58-3) No, in your heart you devise wrong;
your hands deal out violence in the earth.

(58-4) The wicked are estranged from the womb;
the liars go astray from birth.

(58-5) Their poison is like the poison of a serpent,
like a deaf adder that stops its ear,

tear out the fangs of the young lions, O LORD!

🕊️🙏📖 Summary of Psalm 58 – “God’s Justice on Wicked Judges”
Psalm 58 is a psalm of judgment that speaks with great firmness. David voices his anger against rulers and judges who act deceitfully — they do not judge fairly, but allow evil to spread unchecked.
This psalm reflects a longing for divine justice in the midst of human injustice. David believes that God will punish the wicked and give due recompense, so that righteousness may be established.
📌 1. Accusation against Corrupt Judges (verses 1–2)

➡️ They instead practice injustice on purpose.

📌 4. The Victory of the Righteous and the Confession of God’s Justice (verses 10–11)
➡️ The righteous will rejoice when they see God’s vengeance.
➡️ Then all people will say:
