And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is finished.

And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who had overcome the beast and his image and the number of his name standing on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:

“Great and marvelous are Your works,
Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are Your ways,
O King of the nations!

Who shall not fear You, O Lord,
and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy;
for all nations shall come and worship before You,
for Your righteous judgments have been made manifest.”

After these things I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of testimony in heaven was opened.

And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.

Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever.

And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.

🌊 1. A Sign in Heaven: Seven Angels with Seven Plagues (v. 1)

“I saw another sign in heaven… seven angels with the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.”

• Seven angels bear the seven last plagues = the climax of God’s judgments.
• This is not merely disaster, but the full and righteous completion of God’s wrath against evil.

✨ 2. The Sea of Glass and the Overcomers (v. 2–4)

“I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire…”

• A sea of glass mingled with fire = a picture of holiness and judgment.
• Upon it stand those who have overcome the beast (the Antichrist), his image, his mark, and the number of his name.
• They have the harps of God and sing:

🎵 The Song of Moses and the Lamb:

“Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God Almighty!…”

The meaning of the song:

• Praise for the justice and holiness of God.
• It echoes the song of victory sung by Moses after crossing the Red Sea (Exodus 15).

🏛️ 3. The Holy Tabernacle in Heaven Opened (v. 5–8)

“The temple, that is, the tabernacle of testimony in heaven, was opened…”

• The heavenly temple is opened = the source of God’s bowls of wrath.
• The seven angels come out from the temple, clothed in pure white linen (holiness) and with golden bands around their chests (glory).
• One of the four living creatures gives seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God to the angels.

“And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power…”

• No one could enter the temple until the seven plagues were finished → showing the seriousness and finality of this judgment.

• God is not only patient, but His wrath is real against sin.
• Believers are called to remain faithful and overcome the pressures of the world.
• The song in heaven shows that in the end God’s people will prevail, not by their own strength, but by the power of the Lamb.
