Then he made a bronze altar, twenty cubits long, and twenty cubits wide, and ten cubits high.

Then he made the cast sea, ten cubits from brim to brim, round all around, five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits could encircle it.

Under its brim there were figures of oxen all around it, ten to a cubit, encircling the sea all around; the oxen were in two rows, cast in one piece with the sea.

It stood upon twelve oxen: three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east; the sea was set upon them, and all their hind parts were inward.

Its thickness was a handbreadth, and its brim was like the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom. The sea could hold three thousand baths.

He also made ten basins for washing and set five on the right side and five on the left as places for washing; in them they washed what was needed for the burnt offering, while the sea was for the priests as a place for washing.

He made ten golden lampstands according to their design and placed them in the temple, five on the right side and five on the left.

Next he made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the right side and five on the left; and he made a hundred golden bowls for sprinkling.

He also made the court of the priests, the great court, and the doors for the court; and he overlaid the doors with bronze.

He set the sea on the right side, toward the southeast.

And Huram made the pots, the shovels, and the bowls for sprinkling.
Thus Huram finished the work he was to do for King Solomon in the house of God,

namely, the two pillars, with the two bowl-shaped capitals on the tops of the pillars, and the two networks to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals;

the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on the pillars.

He also made the stands and the basins on the stands;

the one sea and the twelve oxen under it.

The pots, the shovels, the forks, and all the other utensils that Huram-Abi made for King Solomon for the house of the LORD were of polished bronze.

The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.

Solomon made all these utensils in very great quantity, so that the weight of the bronze was not reckoned.

Solomon also made all the furnishings that were in the house of God: the altar and the tables on which the showbread was placed,

and the lampstands of pure gold with their lamps, to be lit before the inner room according to the ordinance;

the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of gold, all of it pure gold;
22
the snuffers, the basins, the cups, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the entrance of the house, and the doors of the inner room to the Most Holy Place, and the doors of the great hall of the temple, all of them of gold.
