(41-2) Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of trouble.

(41-3) The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, and he shall be called blessed in the land; You will not give him over to the will of his enemies.

(41-4) The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed; in his illness You will restore him to health.

(41-5) As for me, I said, “LORD, be merciful to me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.”

(41-6) My enemies speak evil against me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”

(41-7) And if one comes to see me, he speaks falsehood; his heart gathers iniquity to itself; when he goes out, he tells it abroad.

(41-8) All who hate me whisper together against me; against me they devise my hurt:

(41-9) “An evil disease has fastened upon him; and now that he lies down, he will rise up no more.”

(41-10) Even my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

(41-11) But You, O LORD, be merciful to me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.

(41-12) By this I know that You are pleased with me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.

(41-13) As for me, You uphold me because of my integrity, and set me before Your face forever.

🕊️🙏📖 Summary of Psalm 41 – “Blessed Is the One Who Cares for the Weak”
Psalm 41 is the closing psalm of the first book of the Psalms (Chapters 1–41). In this psalm, David praises God, who saves and sustains him in sickness and when he is betrayed by those close to him. He declares that the LORD blesses those who are generous to the weak, and becomes their defender when enemies and betrayers try to bring them down.
This psalm shows a union of social compassion and personal trust in God amid suffering and betrayal.
📌 1. Blessed Is the One Who Cares for the Weak (verses 1–3)
➡️ The LORD will protect, deliver, and bless those who consider the weak.
➡️ Even in sickness, the LORD sustains and restores.

➡️ David asks the LORD to restore him and show that He still stands with him.
➡️ He trusts that the LORD upholds the righteous and sets them before Him forever.
🎯 The greatest comfort is that the LORD remains with us even when the world rejects us.
📌 4. Closing Praise (verse 13)
➡️ “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen.”
➡️ A doxology that closes the first section of the book of Psalms.
