(65-2) Praise waits for You in Zion, O God;
and to You shall vows be paid.

(65-3) O You who hear prayer,
to You shall all flesh come

(65-4) because of transgressions.
When our iniquities prevail against us,
You will forgive them.

(65-5) Blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near,
that he may dwell in Your courts!
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
of Your holy temple.

(65-6) By awesome deeds and by righteousness You answer us,
O God of our salvation,
You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas;

(65-7) You who establish the mountains by Your strength,
being clothed with might;

(65-8) You who still the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples!

(65-9) So those who dwell at the ends of the earth are in awe of Your signs;
You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.

(65-10) You visit the earth and water it;
You greatly enrich it.
The river of God is full of water;
You provide the grain for them.
For so You have prepared it:

(65-11) You water its furrows abundantly,
You settle its ridges,
You soften it with showers,
You bless its growth.

(65-12) You crown the year with Your goodness,
and Your paths drip with abundance;

(65-13) the pastures of the wilderness drip,
the hills gird themselves with joy;

(65-14) the meadows are clothed with flocks,
the valleys are covered with grain,
they shout for joy, yes, they sing.

Psalm 65 is a song of praise by David that highlights the goodness and mercy of God, both in forgiving sin and giving spiritual help, and in bestowing material blessing through creation.
This psalm portrays God as the King who hears prayer, forgives, and supplies all the needs of His people — from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.
It is a psalm full of joy and wonder at the Lord’s work in nature and in human life.
