2 Kings

2 Kings continues the story from the previous book and records the history of the kings of Israel (Northern Kingdom) and Judah (Southern Kingdom) until the fall of both kingdoms, Israel to Assyria and Judah to Babylon. This book highlights the faithfulness or unfaithfulness of the kings toward God, as well as the important role of prophets like Elisha in guiding God's people. Its message strongly emphasizes the consequences of disobedience and the importance of repentance.
