The event of Jesus’ ascension into heaven is one of the most important moments in the Christian faith. Colossians 3:1-2 says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Because Jesus has ascended, we are invited to live with a heavenly orientation. Life in this world matters, but our final destination is eternity with Christ.
