The Gospel of John is the fourth Gospel that emphasizes the divinity of Jesus as the Word made flesh. Unlike the three Synoptic Gospels, the Gospel of John contains more personal conversations and "I am" statements from Jesus, which reveal His identity as the Messiah and the Son of God. The main purpose of this Gospel is that its readers may believe that Jesus is the Christ and have life in His name (John 20:31).
