There are seasons in life when everything feels dark. Prayers seem unanswered, the heart grows weary, and no way out appears visible. Perhaps you have thought, โIs it already too late?โ or โCan anything still change?โ But today, hear this: hope still remains.
God never promised an easy life, but He promised faithful companionship. In Lamentations 3:21-23, amid a dark atmosphere of suffering, the prophet Jeremiah said, โBut this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness!โ
Hope does not mean all problems disappear immediately, but it means we know that God is not finished working yet. When Jesus was crucified, His disciples felt everything was shattered. They lost their teacher, friend, and hope for the Messiah. But what they thought was the end was actually the beginning of resurrection. The cross is not the final point; there is Easter Sunday.
Romans 15:13 says, โMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.โ Hope does not come from circumstances, but from God Himself. And as long as God reigns (and He always reigns), hope never dies.
Even in the ruins of life, God can build something new. He does not need perfect conditions to perform a miracle. He only needs a believing heart. In Ezekiel 37, God brought the prophet to a valley of dry bones. From a human perspective, there was no life. But God asked, โCan these bones live again?โ And from those dead bones, God raised a great army.
If today you feel at the end of your rope, remember: God is an expert at turning bitter endings into new beginnings. Donโt give up. Donโt extinguish your faith just because of darkness. Sometimes, God works most powerfully behind the scenes, when we see nothing at all.
So, even if you havenโt seen the answer yet, keep believing. Hope still remains.
