The World Needs True Witnesses, Not Perfect People

Many Christians feel unworthy to share their faith because they think they are not good enough yet. Not holy, not perfect, still stumbling in sin. But let us reflect: does the world really need perfect people? Or does it need people who are willing to be honest about their weaknesses and show how God continues to work within them?

Jesus never asked us to be perfect first before witnessing. In fact, when Jesus healed the demon-possessed man in the region of the Gerasenes, the man wanted to follow Him. But Jesus said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you” (Luke 8:39). He had just been healed. He had not studied theology. But he was already enough to be a witness.

A true witness is not a flawless person. But someone who can say, โ€œI have fallen, but the Lord lifted me up.โ€ The world does not need a show of false perfection, but real stories of love and restoration.

In 2 Corinthians 4:7 it says, โ€œBut we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.โ€ We are all jars of clay, cracked, fragile, yet still used by God to display His glory.

Even Peter, Jesusโ€™ disciple who denied Him three times, was used to proclaim the Gospel with power. His testimony was strong precisely because people knew his past. Testimony is not about proving how good we are, but how good God is.

Do not wait to be perfect to witness. The world is starving for hope. And God wants to use your life with all its imperfections to reveal His love and power.
